I like you a lot

This blog post is dedicated to my good friends James and Tanya and their beautiful daughter Aletheia. :) Aletheia just turned 1 last month which of course means it's time for a photo shoot, right?! Of course!
We were also due a photo shoot because they are, to my great dismay, moving to Syracuse NY in about a month. :'( James will being going back to college for his doctorate. I am going to miss them so much! James and Tanya are not only my friends... But they are my family as well and are both very near and dear to my heart. I've already started crying now just thinking about them being gone... BUT they're not gone yet! So I plan on enjoying every second of the time I get to spend with them and Aletheia... and I might have started planning monthly trips over to NY to go visit them after they've moved. ;)

James, Tanya and Aletheia,
I love you guys so much!
James, I am going to miss your jolly Santa face and your amazing hugs... but mostly I'm going to miss you because you always laugh at my stupid jokes.
Tanya, I am going to miss your smile. I promise it would turn any one's frown upside down. You are one of the most loving and caring people I know. I'm sad we can't watch the finally of sytycd together. Maybe you should stay a month longer??
Aletheia, I'm going to miss seeing you grow and learn new things this next year. Your mom and dad had better be good about taking pictures and videos and putting them up on facebook for all of us back in Spokane.... or else! You are such a sweet little baby and I know you're going to be an amazing little girl when you grow up because you have two of the best parents in the world! (possibly hyperbole... but pretty stinkin' close)
I'll end this with a wise quote about "love".

"Love is not something that you can put chains on and throw into a lake. That's called Houdini. Love is liking someone a lot."

♥ Portland Wedding! ♥

Here's a treat for you all! Just last month I had the privilege of taking my friends wedding photos. Ryan and Emily are the happy couple. I had such an amazing time taking their pictures! The weather was absolutely perfect! And for being in Portland in the Spring... that's pretty rare. We were so lucky!

I hope you enjoy! :)
